What do UV hours (500h...) mean? Is it the lifespan?
Not at all, rest assured! This figure corresponds to an intensive technical test in the laboratory (ISO standard). During this test, the fabric is continuously exposed to extreme artificial light to accelerate its aging.
In real-life conditions, the sun does not shine 24/7 (there is night, clouds, shade...). Therefore, these "lab test" hours actually correspond to several summer seasons of worry-free use.
It is a quality indicator of the treatment: the higher the number, the longer the color will remain vibrant and brilliant when exposed to sunlight.
Can I leave my cushions outside in the rain?
Our cushions are designed with a water-repellent and waterproof technical fabric. This means water slides off the surface without penetrating the foam during passing showers. Expert tip: Although they are very resistant, we recommend sheltering them or covering them during continuous bad weather or in winter to preserve their brilliance over time.
