The fabric is water-repellent: in a passing shower, water slides off the surface without soaking into the filling. In continuous rain, shelter or a protective cover is best.
The fabric resists splashes. Rinse regularly with clean water to remove chlorine and salt, then leave to dry in the open air.
During winter and long periods without use, dry and sheltered storage preserves seams and colours. Let everything dry thoroughly before putting it away.
The fabric is UV-treated to protect the colours from fading, season after season. The UV hours shown on our product pages are not a lifespan: they measure an intensive laboratory test (ISO standard) under extreme, continuous artificial light.
